Other actions — Derecho a la Vivienda Lanzarote

Other actions

The VI Citizens’ Assembly agreed to keep in touch with housing movements of other territories to share documents, experiences and resources, and to keep the autonomy of the groups.

Here we collect what we do together with other territories and the calls we join from here.

Together with the rest of Spain

  1. General strike for housing, 11 November

The VI Assembly unanimously agreed to support it and to keep the park as an information point. The Strike Committee works with the movements of other territories and with the trade unions: information in workplaces, schools and social centres, materials adapted to Lanzarote and a calendar of our own.

  2. Housing camps in other cities

In October 2026 there were housing camps and protests in other territories of Spain. The VI Assembly reported the relationships established with housing movements of other territories and agreed to keep them to share documents, experiences and resources.

  3. Sindicato de Inquilinas de Lanzarote

The group that supports anyone with a rental problem is born inside the Assembly and coordinates with the tenants' unions of the rest of Spain.

    Write to the Sindicato
  4. The council sessions

The demands will be taken to the sessions of Arrecife's council, the island Cabildo and, later, the other councils of the island, each one addressed to whoever holds the power: registration of residents, care for vulnerable people, housing solutions and housing policy. The next Arrecife council session is expected on 30 October: the Assembly asks to speak.
